Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in her shoe...

Each item in the above poem represents a good-luck token for the bride.

If she carries all of them on her wedding day, her marriage will be happy and successful.

"Something old" symbolizes continuity with the bride's family and the past. This can be a piece of antique jewellery or family member's wedding dress.

"Something new" means optimism and hope for the bride's new life ahead. A bride may wear a new string of pearls or use tier wedding gown as the new item.

"Something borrowed" symbolises the love and the support of the family and friends, this is usually an item from a happily married friend or family member, whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride.

"We can make your dream wedding come true..."
